Catherine Clark

Catherine Clark is the founder and owner of Brooklyn General Store, now in business for 22 years!  Catherine is an artist, a maker, and a knitwear designer. She is also the founder of A Woolen Affair, an event in Red Hook, NY, celebrating sheep, wool, music, and the fiber community.  Catherine is a midwife and has been serving the women of NYC since 1995.  She brings her love of community, and her passion for helping others navigate their way through making, into all that she does. Catherine was also one of the  founders and organizers of Wool & Folk and worked on that festival in 2021 and 2022.  After the festival in 2022, she decided pivot, and focus on her shop, design endeavors and ultimately, creating A Woolen Affair. You can find an interview with Catherine on Fiberchats here, and on the Making podcast here and a little bit about A Woolen Affair on Needles at the Ready Podcast here (skip to 1:27 for the spot) and Cabin Boy Knits here (skip to 1:16 for the spot).
